Martin Lavický
A talented photographer whose goal is to capture authenticity.
His inspiration comes from one single black and white memory. Old walls full of stories that he admired as a little boy in the house of his great-grandfather, a well-known photographer. His desire was born when he discovered an old Praktika PLC3 camera, in his grandmother’s closet. It was a film camera, with 36 exposures, and only one chance per shot… “The art of pausing and considering before taking a photo, evaluating whether it’s truly worth pressing the shutter.”

Martin Lavický’s photographs have been recognized in several national and international competitions (Czech Press Photo, Cewe Photo Award, Czech Art Photo, Fujifilm Photo Award, etc.). He is the author of the successful documentary exhibition ‘Feeling Breathless,’ which is on display and traveling through museums and galleries across the Czech Republic.
His complete photographic work from this documentary project is also featured in the photo book “Feeling Breathless – Conversations with a Giant Mountain Highlander.” He focuses on creating photographic series, accompanying his clients discreetly, capturing unique moments and narrating their life stories.
Barbora Bäumlová
Writer and journalist with a degree in psychology, sociology and passion for storytelling. She has always “played with words,” whether in the form of advertising, marketing texts, articles, international reports or books.
Her debut was a psychological book: “The Secret of the Human Smile” (Triton, 2006). She’s an author of a psychological thriller titled: “La Esfinge de la calavera.”, a travelogue: “Shamanic Peru, Ayahuasca, and Ayni” and a documentary photo-book titled: “Feeling Breathless – Conversations with a Giant Mountain Highlander, (Pointa, 2024).”
